S3 Hosts Free E-Waste Drop-Off for Earth Day

S3 Recycling Solutions, the largest Nashville-based electronic recycler, is celebrating Nashville Earth Day by hosting a free, data security and e-waste drop-off event on Saturday, April 21. S3, who this year is commemorating 10 years in business, will host the event at Centennial Park at the city’s Earth Day Festival from 11a.m. to 6p.m. More about Nashville Earth Day Festival can be found at

Participants are guaranteed that any data on dropped-off devices will be securely destroyed. Our free e-recycle event is open to the public and acceptable items are listed below.

The average U.S. household owned 28 consumer electronics and generated about 3.14 million tons of e-waste in 2013 (according to an Environmental Protection Agency report). The United Nations reports that only 16 percent of the world’s e-waste in 2014 was recycled by government agencies or companies sanctioned by regulators.
