S3 Recycling Solutions averted more than 15 tons of electronic waste from landfills after completing two e-waste collection events in Germantown, Tenn.
During the City of Germantown’s 2018 semi-annual Amnesty Dumpster and Recycling Days, S3 collected items from Germantown residents such as printers, computers, monitors, cell phones and other electronics. A limited quantity of surplus e-waste was also collected at the City of Germantown official offices.
S3 regularly partners with municipalities, corporations and other organizations to host similar events throughout the country. “Our corporate mission is to maximize security, stewardship and sustainability through technology recycling solutions,” S3 CEO Rod McDaniel said. “Events such as this not only support our customers’ business objectives, but they also create sustainable solutions for our community as a whole.”
Celebrating 10 years in the electronic recycling industry, S3 is a Tennessee-based company that provides e-waste solutions and data destruction services for corporate and government entities across the U.S. and in Canada.
The City of Germantown awarded S3 Recycling Solutions a contract to collect, process and market electronic waste earlier this year. S3 was selected from a field of three bidders to manage the events for The City.
